Border Lemons: Low-Cost Biosensors for Border Generated Air Pollution

Intersectional Health Project San Diego is an undergraduate driven nonprofit that works with communities in the U.S-Mexico border region to investigate and tackle the most pressing health related social issues.

Residents of Barrio Logan face a compounded public health issue of pediatric asthma rates three times that of the nation and unreliable access to respiratory medical devices. We're partnering with a local service worker's collective to create a reusable emergency energy source that will support respiratory medical devices for Barrio Logan residents during power shut offs.
